General Terms and Conditions for Events of the 62st Chorin Music Summer 2025
1. scope of application
1.1 General
These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern the legal relationship between Choriner Musiksommer e.V. ("Choriner Musiksommer" or "we") and the visitors to concerts and other events (uniformly "Concert" or "Concerts") of the 62st Choriner Musiksommer 2025 ("you"/"your"/"you"). The GTC are an integral part of the contract concluded by the purchase of a ticket.
1.2 Entry into force, validity
These GTC apply only to the purchase of tickets for concerts of the 62st Chorin Music Summer 2025. They come into force on 1 November 2024 and replace older versions and are valid until 30 September 2025.
1.3 Concept of the consumer
The provisions of the GTC apply to you if you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). You are a consumer if the purchase of the tickets cannot be predominantly attributed to your commercial or independent professional activity.
1.3.1 Commercial consumers
You are a consumer if the purchase of the tickets can be attributed to your commercial or independent professional activity. For commercial consumers, the provisions of the GTC under 6.3.6 apply.

3. concert programmes
The concert programmes of the Choriner Musiksommer and their starting times will be announced in the annual programme booklet and on the website www.choriner- musiksommer.de ("website"). We would like to point out that changes may occur for artistic or organisational reasons. We will inform you about such changes on the website.
4. ticket prices
The Chorin Music Summer publishes the respective valid ticket prices for concerts ("Tickets") in its annual programme booklet and on the website ("Published Ticket Prices").
4.1 Ticket Prices for Telephone Sales
(Section 6.3.1 of these GTC) and Written Sales (Section 6.3.2 of these GTC) The final ticket prices correspond to the published ticket prices of the Choriner Musiksommer plus a VVK fee per ticket. In addition, a flat shipping fee will be charged (see section 6.5 of these GTC).
4.2 Ticket prices for online ticket sales via the ticket portal https://tickets.vibus.de
(section 6.3.3 of these GTC). The final ticket prices correspond to the published ticket prices of the Choriner Musiksommer. In addition, a flat shipping fee will be charged. Further shipping and advance booking fees as well as online and processing fees of the ticket portal operator for the technical processing of the purchase may be added. These will be shown during the order process.
4.3 Ticket prices for on-site or online purchase at theatre box offices
The final ticket price when purchasing through theatre box offices includes the ticket price, and the fees of the respective theatre box office. Depending on your selection with regard to certain services, such as shipping methods, payment methods or insurances, additional fees of varying amounts may apply. The final ticket price and its composition of ticket price and fees will be disclosed to you by the theatre box office during the purchase process. By purchasing, you confirm the ticket prices and fees.
5. vouchers
Choriner Musiksommer e.V. sells gift vouchers which can be used as a means of payment when purchasing tickets. There is no entitlement to specific events or seats. The validity of a gift voucher is two (2) years from the date of issue. It is not possible to redeem or partially redeem gift vouchers. In the event of partial redemption, a new voucher will be issued for the remaining value, which will retain its validity in accordance with the above provision.
6. ticket sales
You can buy tickets in advance in writing by e-mail, fax or letter, by telephone via the Chorin Music Summer office, online at https://tickets.vibus.de, or via theatre box offices. Remaining tickets will also be sold at the box office.
6.1 Start and end of the advance sale
The presale starts on 28 November 2024 at zero o'clock.
- If purchased (by mail, telephone or directly) at the Chorin Music Summer office, advance sales (with invoicing, advance payment and ticket dispatch) end 10 days before the concert.
From 9 days before the concert, tickets can be reserved for cash payment at the box office. (see point 11.)
- For online ticket purchases at https://tickets.vibus.de, advance sales end at 12 noon on the Friday before the respective concert weekend.
6.2 Limitation of the ticket offer
When purchasing tickets online via the ticket portal https://tickets.vibus.de, you can purchase a maximum of twenty (20) tickets per concert.
6.3 Ticket sales procedure, means of payment
6.3.1 Ticket sales by telephone
Tickets can be purchased in advance from Monday to Friday from 9 am - 4 pm by calling the organiser on +49 (0)3334 - 818472. You can pay for the tickets in advance by bank transfer. Taking your order into account, we will send you a binding offer by e-mail, fax or letter, enclosing an invoice, stating the tickets ordered, the ticket prices, the flat-rate delivery charge, the account details and a payment period of fourteen (14) days. By paying for the tickets offered within the payment period, you accept the offer and the contract between you and us is concluded. If the invoice amount is not credited to our account within the payment period, we will put the tickets back on sale.
6.3.2 Written ticket sales

You can pay for these tickets in advance by bank transfer. 6.3.3 Online purchase via https://tickets.vibus.de
You can buy tickets in advance via the ticket portal https://tickets.vibus.de.
The offer to conclude a contract is made by you as soon as you have placed your ticket order online (by clicking on the "Buy" button).
Before that, the data of your order will be displayed again. You can change the order data using the correction tools provided for this purpose. SWH will confirm your order immediately by e-mail ("confirmation") and provide you with a transaction number which will be stated in the e-mail. With the confirmation, your offer is accepted and a contract is concluded between us and you.
The text of the contract (the confirmation and these GTC) will be stored by us after completion of the order process and transmission to you and is no longer accessible to you online.
Unless otherwise agreed in individual cases, payment of ticket prices is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract. We accept payment in advance by bank transfer, PayPal and cash at the Choriner Musiksommer office.
We reserve the right not to offer certain payment options in individual cases or to refer to other payment options. The payment options available for the order will be displayed to you before the ordering process begins. The contract language is German.
You can retrieve and save our GTC at https://www.choriner-musiksommer.de/allgemeine- geschaeftsbedingungen. You must also accept the General Terms and Conditions of the operator of the ticket portal SWH Software GmbH, Attilastr. 61-67, 12105 Berlin ("SWH"), which can be viewed on the ticket portal.
6.3.4Ticket sales at the box office
Remaining tickets can also be purchased at the box office at the venue. Only remaining tickets for the concerts of the day will be sold at the box office. Advance booking for other concerts is not possible. The box office opens 1.5 hours before the start of the concert. You must check the correctness of the tickets and the change immediately upon purchase. Subsequent complaints cannot be accepted.
6.3.5 Ticket Sales to Commercial Consumers (Tour Groups)
Travel groups are all commercial suppliers who integrate a concert visit into the travel offer as part of a day trip/multi-day trip.
The following conditions apply to tour groups: Tickets are sold exclusively by written order, by mail or by letter.
6.3.6. Payment terms for commercial consumers
The following separate terms of payment apply:
Subject to any agreement to the contrary with the Choriner Musiksommer, the commercial provider is obliged to transfer a deposit of 1/3 of the invoice amount shown on the invoice to the account shown on the invoice within the payment period of fourteen (14) days stated on the invoice. The balance shall be paid 6 weeks before the booked concert.
6.3.6.1 Change of Orders for Professional Consumers (Travel Group)
Tour group orders can be changed under the following conditions: If a deposit of 1/3 of the total price is paid in due time, the number of tickets can be changed free of charge up to six (6) weeks before the respective booked concert. The total price of the tickets which are the subject of the (amended) order at that time, less the deposit already paid, shall become due for payment and shall be transferred to the account of the Choriner Musiksommer within 14 days. The commercial supplier will receive a final invoice from us. This will include the number of tickets, the price groups of the tickets, the deposit paid and the outstanding amount to be paid. In addition, the regulations on the return and exchange of tickets apply (point 12. And 12.1.)
6.4 Ticket dispatch
The tickets will be sent by post after receipt of payment. The flat-rate shipping fee is € 3.50 per order ("flat-rate shipping fee"). Pick-up at the box office is not possible.
7. warranty for defects
The statutory warranty for defects shall apply.
8. right of withdrawal
If you purchase tickets, you do not have a right of cancellation pursuant to Section 312g (2) No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB) even if you purchased the tickets online, by telephone or in writing by e-mail, letter or fax. The subject of the contract concluded between you and us is a service from the area of leisure activities which is provided at a specific time. The statutory cancellation rules in distance selling do not apply to this. This means that your order is binding upon receipt of the confirmation.
9. resale of tickets
Purchased tickets may not be resold for commercial and/or industrial purposes without the prior consent of the Choriner Musiksommer. The Choriner Musiksommer is entitled to exclude those responsible who violate the above prohibition from purchasing tickets in the future.
10. reductions
Discounts of four (4) € on the ticket price are given to
- Severely disabled persons against submission of a copy of a valid ID when ordering or presentation of the valid ID when purchasing a ticket at the box office.
- Accompanying persons who the severely disabled person is entitled to take along; and
- pupils, trainees, students, children against submission of a copy of a valid ID when ordering or presentation of the valid ID when purchasing a ticket at the box office.
A combination of different reductions is not possible.
11. reservations
From nine (9) calendar days before the respective concert, tickets can be reserved by mail or telephone until collection and cash payment at the box office on the day of the concert. (See point 6.1.)
The reservation deadline is 12 noon on the Friday before the concert weekend in question. Reserved tickets must be collected in cash from the box office no later than thirty (30) minutes before the start of the concert. If this deadline is exceeded, reservations will be cancelled and tickets will go on sale.
12. return and exchange of tickets
12.1 No redemption of tickets
You are not entitled to the return of the tickets and refund of the ticket price.
12.2 Exchange of tickets
If you have purchased tickets in the Written Ticket Sale or Telephone Ticket Sale at the Chorin Music Summer office (see point 6.3. ff) and these tickets have not yet expired, you can exchange the tickets for tickets of a higher price category, if such tickets are available. In this case, you are obliged to pay the difference. Otherwise, an exchange of sold tickets is not possible.
12.3 Changes to the programme and cast
The Chorin Music Summer reserves the right to make changes to the programme and the line- up for artistic and organisational reasons. We will inform you about changes on our website. Changes to the programme, cast and venue do not entitle the holder to return or exchange tickets.
12.4 Lost tickets
No replacement can be given for lost tickets.
13. access to the concert area, rules of conduct for concertgoers
During the concerts, the Choriner Musiksommer exercises domiciliary rights. The instructions of the staff must be followed. The Choriner Musiksommer reserves the right to refuse you admission to a concert or to expel you from the concert or the concert area. This applies in particular, but not exclusively, in the following cases:
- if you disturb a concert in progress, harass other persons or have taken a seat for which you cannot produce a valid ticket;
- in the event of attempted fraud;
- in the event of breaches of COVID conditions; or
- in the event of serious or repeated violations of the GTC.
The Choriner Musiksommer grants you admission to the concert area in Chorin Monastery only on presentation of a valid ticket (for additional requirements for concert attendance, see the special regulations Corona in § 14 of these GTC). The start of admission is shown on the concert tickets. Tickets will be validated at the entrance.
You are obliged to use only the designated entrances and exits and to take the seat allocated to you on the ticket for the respective concert. It is not permitted to take a seat other than the one designated on the ticket. If you unjustifiably change to a seat for which a higher ticket price should have been paid, the Choriner Musiksommer may demand that you pay the difference to the higher ticket price, move you to the seat designated on your ticket, or expel you from the concert.
Escape routes must be kept clear. Corridors, aisles including cloisters, stairways, exits and emergency exits must not be obstructed with objects of any kind. Emergency exits serve to safely evacuate the concert area in an emergency and are not regular exits.
Smoking is absolutely prohibited within the concert area. This also applies to e-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas outside the concert area.
The use of naked lights (candles in any container, pyrotechnic products, etc.) is prohibited. Children up to the age of 6 ("children") may only enter the concert area if accompanied by a supervisor. Climbing over balustrades, climbing walls and romping in the concert area is prohibited. If you attend the concert accompanied by children, please ensure that the above regulations are observed. Tables, pavilions, parasols, tents and tent-like structures as well as other bulky objects are not permitted. Bringing dogs, with the exception of guide dogs and partner dogs, or other pets is not permitted.
In addition, the house rules of the Eigenbetrieb Kloster Chorin apply.
14 Corona Special Rules

15. cancellation and abandonment of concerts
If we have to cancel or interrupt a concert, the tickets purchased lose their validity. This applies in particular, but not exclusively, if the Choriner Musiksommer has to cancel a concert due to an official order. In the event of a concert being abandoned or cancelled, we will offer you a replacement concert if possible. If we are unable to offer you a replacement concert, or if you are unable or unwilling to attend the replacement concert, we will refund the ticket price. In the event of cancellation, the ticket price will be refunded on a pro rata basis. Further claims by you are excluded if the Choriner Musiksommer is not responsible for the reason for the cancellation or termination of the concert. The legal regulations which entitle Choriner Musiksommer to cancel or interrupt a concert remain unaffected.
16. use of mobile phones
Mobile phones and other technical devices with acoustic signals are to be switched off during the event.
17. photographic, film and sound recordings
During the concerts of the Choriner Musiksommer, there are regular photo, film and TV recordings of concerts ("recordings") made by ourselves or by third parties. The recordings are used for the following purposes:
17.1 For the announcement and promotion of concerts of the Chorin Music Summer, regardless of the medium (print, digital, video, television, etc.), in particular on flyers, posters, in newspapers and magazines, on the website as well as in social media channels and newsletters;
17.2 For the press and public relations work of the Chorin Music Summer, including the use of the recordings on the website and in social media channels and newsletters;
17.3 For the live broadcast of concerts on television, including the subsequent making available to the public in the broadcasters' media libraries;
17.4 For the purpose of archiving in analogue and digital form.
Insofar as the recordings depict you in a recognisable manner, you agree by purchasing the ticket that we may use the recordings for the aforementioned purposes. In particular, you agree that we may publish and distribute the recordings or have them published and distributed by third parties.
18. picture and sound recordings by concert-goers
The making of visual and audio recordings of any kind by concert-goers at the concerts is prohibited for reasons of copyright and/or personal rights. Outside of concerts, you may take pictures at the Chorin Monastery venue exclusively for private and non-commercial purposes.
19. data protection
When collecting, processing and using your personal data, we comply with the legal provisions of the applicable data protection law, in particular the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). 20. lost property
Items of any kind found at the Chorin Monastery concert venue are to be handed in to the admission staff and will be kept by us at the Chorin Music Summer office.
21 Liability
In the event of intent or gross negligence on the part of the Choriner Musiksommer or our representatives or vicarious agents, the Choriner Musiksommer shall be liable in accordance with the statutory regulations; the same shall apply in the event of culpable breach of essential contractual obligations, i.e. obligations the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on the observance of which you may regularly rely and trust. In the absence of intentional and grossly negligent breach of contract, the Choriner Musiksommer's liability for damages shall be limited to the foreseeable, typically occurring damage.
The liability of the Choriner Musiksommer due to culpable injury to life, body or health, due to the assumption of a guarantee, for fraudulently concealed defects as well as liability according to the Product Liability Act remain unaffected. Unless otherwise expressly regulated above, the liability of the Choriner Musiksommer is excluded.
The above regulations apply accordingly to the liability of the legal representatives or vicarious agents of the Choriner Musiksommer if claims are made directly against them.
Any statutory liability privileges in favour of the Choriner Musiksommer, e.g. according to §§ 7 to 10 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), remain unaffected.
22 Online Dispute Resolution and Consumer Arbitration Board

23 Applicable law, place of jurisdiction
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law shall only apply to the extent that you are not thereby deprived of mandatory applicable consumer protection provisions of the state in which the consumer has his habitual residence at the time of his order.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law with its registered office in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction at the registered office of the Choriner Musiksommer shall have exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes arising between you and the Choriner Musiksommer from the contract. If you have your registered office outside the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction at the registered office of the Choriner Musiksommer shall have exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract if the contract or claims arising from the contract can be attributed to your professional or commercial activity.

Should any provision of these GTC become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions.
