A South American tree has lent its melodious name to this five-person ensemble of members of the Brandenburg Symphonic Orchestra. For quite some time now, they have been weaving their artful web of classical, blues, folk and jazz music using didgeridoos, alphorns, goblet drums, maracas and other exotic instruments. The music they play builds a bridge between the cultures of the world and is hard to pin down stylistically. “We want to appeal to emotions, moods and the unbounded, timeless moments of experience,” they confess.
