Ensembles and arias from Italian and French operas

Once again, the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, together with soloists from all over the world, will appear in the atmospheric monastery ruins, which have long been a fixture of the North German festival landscape in summer. Their programme is a fascinating journey through the world of the Italian and French opera, with sparkling overtures and soulful interludes to provide diversion along the way. In addition, tour guide Jörg Schörner will have interesting things to say about the works and their composers. You can bet that love is always involved when highlights like the Flower Duet from Léo Delibes’ Lakmé, the friendship duet The Temple of Brahma Shines from Georges Bizet’s Pearl Fisherman or the quartet Fair Girl, See My Suffering from Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto are performed.
